150 years of Gruner

The focus of this year for the Gruner Group is on the 150th anniversary of the founding of the company.  

The success story started with the construction of a coal gas plant in Basel. The Engineer Carl Heinrich Gruner founded the “Technisches Bureau” in 1862. Today, 150 years later, the Gruner Group comprises 14 companies with a combined work force of over 750 personnel.

A large number of projects have been completed worldwide in the meantime, enabling the company to build up and consolidate a great deal of specialist knowledge and experience. Satisfied customers have repeatedly approached Gruner with new problems needing to be solved and we would like to express our gratitude to them for this.

January	Media conference at CityGate in Basel
February	Grunerama – The development history Grunerama in Basel is the first general public exhibition and presents the engineering and development achievements of the Gruner Group. Open Monday to Friday from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. (exceptions) or by appointment. Admission free.
February	Online competition at www.gruner.ch Attractive prizes to be won each month. The main prize, a long weekend in Vienna, will be drawn from among the entrants at the end of the year. Why not try your luck.
May	150 Jubilee Publication Mailing. What will be of benefit tomorrow is developed today in a visionary way. The 150 Jubilee Publication Mailing demonstrates exciting projects for the future, developed by staff of the Gruner Group. What will the world look like in 50 years?
September	Gruner Open Day for university graduates An active Gruner Sports Day will be held for the university master classes, i.e. for our future engineers.
December	Draw for the main prize in the online competition Presentation of the prize to the winner of the 150year.gruner.ch online competition. All participants will take part in the main draw automatically.
